Prospect Business Association

PBA is the portal by which entrepreneurs within the Urban Core, specifically black-owned businesses, through their Business Development Training Program, receive business consulting & coaching, technical assistance, workshops/training, mentorship and access to a plethora of resources, supports and linkages. Additionally, PBA facilitates partnerships for businesses to more easily access financial resources needed for business viability. Resulting in the transformational outcomes of (1) business stability, retention and/or expansion, (2) employment as well as (3) financial security.

Porter House Kc

The Porter House KC operates as a launch pad and bridge for businesses who have been unable to access support in the existing entrepreneurial and small business ecosystem. Our primary programing consist of a 12 week mentorship program where we pair entrepreneurs, and mentors, and host a weekly soft skill based activities and discussions all based around small business activities, and a 15-week, cohort-based small business development program for low-to-moderate income and underserved small business owners/entrepreneurs. The training includes small group in-person and virtual sessions, one-on-one mentoring, and network expansion. Sessions are taught by PHKC staff, and mentors which includes guidance on accounting, legal services, marketing, strategic planning, and accessing banking resources.

Heartland Black Chamber of Commerce

Heartland Black Chamber of Commerce (HBCC) is a non-profit organization. We partner with all types of businesses owned-and-operated by black business entrepreneurs. Our core focus is on the launching, developing, promoting, sustaining, and growth of the black community.

Greater Kansas City Black Chamber

The Chamber is an action and advocacy organization designed to meet the needs of the Black business community in Kansas City. It an organization of individuals and businesses from various disciplines and trades that have come together for the purpose of advancing commercial, financial, educational and civic interest of the Black community. In effect, it is a clearinghouse, a public relations counselor, and a legislative representative at the local, state and national levels of government.
