Led by Chef Justin Clark, Urban Restaurant on Armour & Troost blends American, Mexican, Spanish, and Asian flavors to create dishes that are both comforting and adventurous right in the heart of Kansas City.

Clark's mission isn't just about serving good food. He aims to bring people together through food and culture.

"Urban Restaurant believes in representing and advocating professional culture and community involvement through hospitality services," he said.

A New Chapter for Troost

Located at historic intersection, Urban Restaurant contributes to the revitalization of a corridor once known for division.

"We appreciate the KC G.I.F.T. organization for supprting the Urban Vision to contribute to the redevelopment of Troost and influece change to the unfavorable historical perception of the neighborhood," Clark said.

In addition to the $25K grant, Chef Clark said the lessons learned through KC G.I.F.T. about marketing helped boost traffic by 4.5% to 6% in two months.
